This morning, the roads closed for something more powerful than speed. Before the race engines fired up, the Isle of Man TT 2025 Legacy Lap took centre stage — a moving tribute to the riders, bikes, and stories that shaped this iconic event over more than a century. This wasn’t about lap records. It was about legacy — and for us, it was about capturing a different kind of energy.
📜 A Lap Built on History
The Legacy Lap celebrates the TT’s unmatched heritage, tracing all the way back to its first race in 1907. It’s a salute to the riders who’ve carved their names into the Mountain Course — from the early daredevils in flat caps and goggles to modern-day masters. This year’s lap featured historic machines roaring back to life Legendary TT figures returning to the roads in a full 37.73-mile tour, ridden not in competition, but in honour. It’s a moment of reflection that runs deeper than speed — a pause in the rush to remember how far we’ve come.
📸 Through Our Lens
We were out with cameras ready, not chasing fast corners this time — but emotion. The upright waves to the crowd, the smiles behind the visors, the soft rumble of bikes carrying stories decades deep. The shots from the Legacy Lap don’t just show motion — they show memory.
🧡 Legacies
Included in such memories: my granddad raced the Island's circuits from 1933 to 1949; and my dad followed from 1982 to 2004 (I own a 90cc Honda Chaly that is frankly terrifying!). And now, the same course, the same love, but a different way to ride it... not in leathers, but through lenses, as we captured a further moment of legacy: Nathan and Frey photographing side-by-side (with Illy ensuring waves and horns from the sunroof!)

The legacy continues... ;)
🎞️ A Moment to Remember
Among the throttle and thunder of TT fortnight, the Legacy Lap remains one of the most meaningful things we shoot. It reminds us what this event is really about: people, passion, and the stories that echo far beyond the Mountain: the commitment and dedication of everyone involved from organisers, scrutineers, racers, family, marshals, hospitality, mechanics, medics, fans, residents, police, pilots, captains... it is a wonder of the world contender for sure ;)📷 Full photo set available in the Gallery🎥 Want to honour your part in the TT story?
